Bizarre Case of
State Stake in ZABA
Pasko Kacinari, a controversial
Zagreb jeweler, has sued the State and won his claim that the
privatization of Zagrebacka banka did not include much of the
bank’s capital, which was mostly held by the State. The buyers,
UniCredit Group, never had the chance to buy that stake. The
State is disputing the finding, and especially Kacinari’s demand
for a 10-percent finder’s fee on the stake worth some HRK 330
million in total.

CROATIAN STATE PROSECUTOR IS NOT
INTERESTED IN THE PROPERTY OF THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA NOR IN
CRIMINAL ACTS THAT DAMAGE THE STATE - Treason in high places
It is
interesting to note the speed with which the State Prosecutor's
Office has acted on Pask Kacinari's recent filing regarding the
lost property of the State which he has found, i.e. about the
great robbery of Zagrebacka banka carried out by the interest
group to which, among others, belongs the current Zaba Board
Chairman, Franjo Lukovic. Even though it usually takes the State
Prosecutor's Office about two years to solve similar cases, in the
case of Zaba someone has worked to ensure an express resolution.
Thus, in the space of less than one month, the State Prosecutor's
Office has displayed a scandaous lack of interest regarding the
organized crime and corruption taking place under high political
protection, to the detriment of the Republic of Croatia, and to
the tune of several billion euros, The State Prosecutor's Office,
nevertheless, is not interested in this case, but cannot deny the
existence of the criminal activity listed in the filing of March
24, 2006.

Crime
inside Zagrebačka banka - Secret Documents
about the Privatization of ZABA
The ZABA Board skillfully concocted a privatization project
ensuring that the majority packet of shares remained under the
bank's ownership, i.e. in the form of treasury shares at the
disposal of the Board, which owes its very position to the ability
of manipulating these shares. In this way, the Board has damaged
not only the bank but the state budget, citizens, customers and
shareholders of ZABA, in the amount of over 1 billion Euros
between 1989 and 2004.

Djuro Gavrilovic, Austria's Honorary Consul in Croatia, and

which ZABA will be forced to show the paper trail of ownership
of its shares - which has been secret up until now. It is a
trail of the rape of the Croatian economy in the 1990s and the
stealing of shares from state-owned companies. And UNICREDITO
ITALIANO and ALLIANZ are the holders of the stolen property
today!

ZABA Forced to Reveal Document Trail
of its Shares in Gavrilovic Co. by Zagreb Commercial Court
ZABA forced shares of
Gavrilovic Holding to be sold to Voce Export-Import, alleges
Voce's former Director. ZABA subsequently forced Voce into
bankruptcy a short time later and took its shares and
property. This was the way ZABA grabbed hold of shares of
1,287 other Croatian state-owned companies during the war of
the 1990s.
Also revealed: Croatia's
Central Bank informs Croatian Parliament in 2005 that "the
owners of more than 70% of ZABA's original founding capital
are unknown."
